"Just a brief note to express how pleased my wife and I were with the service recently provided by Whyte Construction through your offices. We were only able to return Scott's phone call in the early evening, and he very obligingly arranged to meet my wife at the property at 8pm that evening. His workers were on site promptly the next day. They completed the work fully and professionally and made a follow up call to check that we were happy with the work done.
Further building alterations to accommodate a heating installation have been carried out by Whyte Construction this week, and we can confirm that again this company have exceeded our expectations. They turn up as arranged, with the attitude that they are working for you, they tidy up after themselves, and again we received a call to check that we had found the work to be satisfactory. "My wife and I would like to express our appreciation for the friendly, efficient and cooperative way you and your team of contractors and subcontractors fulfilled the requirements to repair the damage on the property from the September earthquake. Even though there were quite a few days of inconvenience to the tenant, everyone did their best to fit in with her. Naturally with all those people moving through the property and the need for sanding, plastering and painting, there was quite a lot of dust to clean up. Everyone worked together to minimise these effects. Well done. We and the tenant were generally kept informed when the various tradespeople were coming and we were able to change our schedules to fit in."

"Trevor and his team have shown total professionalism throughout and they have clearly demonstrated their excellent skills of their trades developed through experience over many years. They planned their work perfectly and also took account of the mess the required work would create. A plywood box was constructed to minimise mortar dust into the house and care was taken to protect carpet and soft furnishings. Additionally, they most gladly explained what their plans were to me as the home owner. Their work proceeded quickly and efficiently and in a totally professional and tradesman-like manner. They most effectively weatherproofed the other chimney as well once the other team had left."

"After living in my skyline garage in the driveway since the quake with no services apart from some electricity tapped from a neighbours house it has been excellent to see some positive progress being made towards making the property safe until the long term outcome is determined. Two of the three large chimneys have now been removed and waterproofed. We now await a visit from a structural engineer so that work can proceed on the third and final chimney. Once complete this means a green sticker and reconnection of electricity and the ability to reside in the house again. To be able to once again shower at home, do some washing, use the loo sparingly and most of all cook will be very exciting indeed.. even though the future of the house is most uncertain."
