At Whyte Construction we have vast experience in the management of project cost. We budget, plan and monitor your project and look the optimum balance between cost, quality and time requirements.
Our Quantity Surveyors have the necessary skills to use principles and techniques for issues of estimation, cost control, budget planning, project management, planning and programming.
Our key objective is to attain accurate cost estimates and schedules and to avoid cost overruns and schedule slips to ensure your project is done on time and to your budget.
||Design & Build
With our associated architects, we will work closely with you to design a home that meets your needs and that complies with Council planning controls. Our designs aim for optimum space and light, using materials that are reliable in terms of maintenance and resale value. We can visualise your design with 3D computerised designs in colour. Once the design is finished, we apply to the Council for a resource consent application.
We will give you an accurate quote for the construction of your house. Our quote is for the entire job, with no hidden extras, and the price is guaranteed not to go up, unless you make changes to the plans or specifications.
We see the building process as a cooperative working relationship between designer, builder and client to achieve your desired result.
Regular inspections by Council inspectors ensure construction is in accordance with the Building Code. We continue to offer personal service throughout construction, and are willing to build to whichever stage you choose.
At the completion of construction we will ensure everything has been done satisfactorily. Upon final completion the building inspector makes a final inspection and issues a 'code compliance certificate'.

Your Project Manager sets schedules, keeps an eye on everyone, makes sure they are where they are supposed to be at all times. They ensure there are no safety hazards around and generally keep everyone happy.
Our Project Managers are hired to lead and oversee a variety of building projects from start to finish. The jobs range from small remodelling or renovations to complete new builds.
Your Project Manager keeps everyone in the loop during the entire project, from clients and architects, to their workers and subcontractors. They must quickly attend to any problems that may arise.
The Project Manager organises the equipment and materials that are required for the job, and although they may not be doing the physical work on the site, they are responsible for ensuring that all the work is finished properly, on time and within budget.
They are responsible for ensuring that all preparation work is completed on site prior to construction starting. Once construction is started, they make sure that the work is progressing correctly. If there is a delay - whether as a result of weather, accident, a task that takes longer than expected, or a change in plans - he will tweak the programme to get back on schedule.
